Description

Golden, buttery crescents cradle melting mozzarella, zesty pizza sauce, and pepperoni spiced with garlic and Italian herbs. Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and gooey inside.

Ingredients

  • 1 package crescent roll dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface and separate into triangles.
  3. Spread about 1 teaspoon of pizza sauce onto each triangle, leaving a small border at the edges.
  4. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella evenly over the sauce on each triangle.
  5. Place 2 to 3 pepperoni slices on top of the cheese for each triangle.
  6. Sprinkle garlic powder and Italian seasoning over each prepared triangle.
  7. Roll up each triangle starting from the wide end toward the pointed end and place seam side down on the baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil to encourage browning.
  9. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes before serving warm.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust brush with a beaten egg instead of olive oil.
  • Use fresh mozzarella slices instead of shredded for extra gooeyness.
  • Serve with warm marinara or ranch dressing for dipping.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
