Description

Sweet and savory notes dance on your tongue as tender kielbasa browns to golden perfection. Crisp veggies soak up the sticky honey garlic glaze, creating a colorful, mouthwatering skillet feast in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound kielbasa sausage sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 yellow bell pepper chopped
  • 1 small red onion sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 carrots peeled and sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced kielbasa and cook until browned on both sides, about 4 minutes per side.
  3. Push kielbasa to the edge of the skillet and add garlic, cooking until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. In a small bowl whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the kielbasa and stir to coat evenly.
  6. Add bell peppers, red onion, broccoli, and carrots to the skillet.
  7. Season vegetables with salt and pepper, then stir to combine with kielbasa and sauce.
  8. Cover skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring halfway through, until vegetables are crisp-tender.
  9. Remove lid and cook an additional 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  10. Serve hot, spooning extra sauce over the kielbasa and veggies.

Notes

  • Leftovers keep well in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Swap broccoli or carrots for zucchini or green beans based on preference.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce if you want to reduce the sodium content.
  • For a spicier kick add a pinch of red pepper flakes when cooking the garlic.
