Description

Bite-sized cinnamon rolls soak in a spiced egg-milk batter, seared to golden crisp and drizzled with a smooth sugar glaze for a warm, mouthwatering breakfast twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and melt the butter.
  2. Slice each cinnamon roll into bite sized pieces.
  3. In a bowl whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon and salt.
  4. Dip each bite into the egg mixture turning to coat evenly.
  5. Place coated bites on the skillet and cook until golden brown on all sides, about two to three minutes per batch.
  6. Meanwhile whisk powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth to create the glaze.
  7. Transfer cooked bites to a serving plate and drizzle with the glaze.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Serve with fresh berries or fruit for a fruity twist
  • Use the warmed icing from the cinnamon roll pack for extra sweetness
  • Keep cooked bites warm in a low oven until ready to serve
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to two days
