Description

A luscious peanut butter core meets glossy melted chocolate, forming crisp-edged hearts that snap satisfyingly. Scattered Valentine’s sprinkles bring bursts of color and crunch. Chill until firm for a festive, shareable treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 8 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons Valentine sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Line a heart shaped silicone mold with parchment paper or spray lightly with cooking oil.
  2. In a large bowl, beat peanut butter and softened butter until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt, then mix until a firm dough forms.
  4. Press the peanut butter mixture evenly into each heart cavity of the mold.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and coconut oil, then heat in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted.
  6. Pour melted chocolate over each peanut butter heart, spreading to cover the tops, then sprinkle Valentine sprinkles on while chocolate is still wet.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until completely set.
  8. Gently remove hearts from the mold and serve chilled or at cool room temperature.

Notes

  • For easy release, use flexible silicone molds instead of metal pans.
  • Dark chocolate chips can be substituted for a richer flavor.
  • Store finished hearts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
  • Allow hearts to sit at room temperature for 5 minutes before serving for optimal texture.
