Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Sift in the cocoa powder, salt, and flour, and fold gently until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Warm the peanut butter in the microwave for 15–20 seconds until pourable, then drop spoonfuls over the brownie batter.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the peanut butter into the batter for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares.
Notes
- Use high-quality cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
- Avoid overbaking to keep the brownies extra chewy.
- Allow the brownies to cool fully to set properly and prevent crumbling.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
